Starlets Defeat Germany To Win Trophy

Ghana's Under 17 side, the black starlets emerged winners of the just ended four nation tournament in Namibia. The team recorded four wins in four games in all competitions.


Ghana opened the scoreline in the 24th minute. A goal by Sulley Ibrahim which proved decisive. It gave the starlets absolute control in the game.


During the game, prolific and leading goal scorer of the tournament, David Cudjoe got injured and was substituted. He was replaced by Rashid Alhassan- the man who assured the starlets of victory.


Prior to the second goal....in the 64th minute, several chances were wasted! Chances especially that of Eric Ayiah and Emmanuel Toku should have converted to goals.


Nonetheless, Germany weren't a fierce opposition either. They got their hopes up in the 75th minute but unfortunately it was too late for them. The starlets changed tactics, and played defensively.
