Adeiso Residents Lash Out At Government

Residents and motorists that exploit the Nsawam-Adeiso road have expressed contempt about the unpleasant nature of the road.

According to them, vehicles  experience  difficulties exploiting  the 17km Nsawam-Adeiso road. The disgruntled residents and motorists wish to remind government that there is an upcoming election. They reportedly said government must make funds available for the construction firm so they can complete the project in time else the unexpected will happen in November.

“We cannot bring foodstuff to the market. It is very difficult to put food on the table for our families. We have children in higher education institutions and we cannot pay their fees due to the bad nature of the roads in the community, for which reason, we the farmers cannot transport our farm produce to the markets”

The deputy Director of Ghana Highways Authority (GHA), Alhaji Baba Kassim was contacted. He said the on-going project would cost  GHc30 million to complete.

We have digged into this matter. We found that the road which serves thousands of travelers from Akwatia, Pokuase, Nsawam and Adeiso has been in a deplorable state for the past sixteen years.
